a.       Preparation:

Passengers on domestic flights are to present:

-         Foreigners: passport

-         Vietnamese: one of the following documents is accepted for carriage :

+ Passport (at least 6-month valid ) .

+ ID card .

+ Military card .

+ National Assembly member card .

+ Communist Party member card .

+ Journalist card .

+ Driving license .

+ Airport Pass .

+ Employee card issued by Vietnam Airlines .

Passengers who are children traveling on domestic flights must comply with the following regulations:

+ Children under 12 must have birth certificate

+ Babies under 1 month must have notice of birth in case without birth certificate

+ Children grown up by social organizations must have certificates of those ones, which are 6-month valid from date of validating.

+ Children under 1 traveling alone on domestic flights, besides documents regulated must have commitment of  parents or guardians. Passengers are required to book in advance and must be agreed by airlines.

Passengers’ travel documents must:

+ Be used for the right person and be valid .

+ Have stamps on photos ( except birth certificate and notice of birth ).

b.      Check-in procedure at airport:

-         Presenting ticket and travel document to security officials before entering the terminal .

-         Checking in at check-in counters .

-         Passing through security check area .

-         Getting to waiting lounge .

-         Proceeding to boarding gate at boarding time .

Remark :

-         Dangerous items ( including all kinds of knives, swords, cudgels….) are only accepted in checked baggage except those bought at duty free shops at airport.

Each passenger is only allowed 1 litre of liquid. The capacity of container does not exceed 100ml. Containers must be put in transparent plastic bags for security check or screening through X-ray machine if necessary.
