TIAGS – Team Building 2011

On October 26th 2011, TIAGS (Tan Son Nhat International Airport Ground Services) and BOW, an event organizing company with experience in team-building held an outdoor activity named “TOGETHER – We succeed” in Giang Dien WaterFall Resort. It was wholeheartedly participated by both Passenger Services Department.

The event was organized for the purpose of developing the team spirit not only between teams in a Passenger Service Deparment but also both of two Departments. Moreover, this was a valuable chance to enhance their understanding and cooperating among TIAGS staff at work.

The activity was divided into 2 rounds with many outdoor sportive games. The first was “Classifying Challenges” in the morning, and the other was “Password Decoding” in the afternoon.

To start the round 1 “Classifying challenges”, as a warm-up activity, everyone was instructed to gather in 4 groups. And then, every group had to perform an introduction, which demonstrated their victory passion with panels, slogans and songs. The next games were “matching wooden bars into TIAGS maze”, “walking with a big plastic stripe” and “constructing an automatic system of transporting balls”.

In the afternoon, groups started “password decoding” round with warm-up, keywords searching, and keywords unlocking. They had to design durable ladders and search for keywords using binoculars. After that, they bound bamboo sticks into a floating transporter to collect passwords which was put on the island in middle of the lake.

At the end of the team-building activity, meaningful lessons and experiences were drawn from these games.

After a long “weather-beaten” day of experiences, members of both Passenger Deparmentss together overcome challenges; one thing is for sure that they will well understand each other and well cooperate at work.

Besides the team spirit, the activity has equipped the participants with exciting experiences of team building, challenges which was hard for only one member but easier for a whole team in good cooperation to conquer. Therefore, it is advised that if TIAGS staff communicate openly, adjust their attitude and behaviors when working together, respect to others’ ideas, work responsibly, and pay more attention to groups’ benefits rather than their own, and well support other colleagues for common target, TIAGS will go faster on the way to conquer customers.
